I cannot believe I am writing a post for Cameron that he is 3 months old! Time has gone by too fast but at the same time I enjoy all of the changes that come with each new week. He is getting to be so much fun and be somewhat predictable. He is currently sleeping 11-12 hours per night, however he still wakes to nurse 2-3 times in that time period. During the day he has a 2.5-3.5 hour cycle of eat, play sleep.
I have to go back to work on September 4th and to get ready I took him to daycare for 4 hours today. He and I both did surprisingly well. Next week we will practice one more time before he is there full time.
Last weekend we went to Spokane for a visit and had a lot of fun! Cameron got to meet more family and friends. We tried letting Cameron go swimming in Grandma Sheri’s pool but he was not thinking that was so fun. He did not mind having his feet in but screamed when his whole body was in the pool. I guess he was not quite ready yet. We will try again later. While we were there our friends Hilary and Brian went into labor so Cameron will have a new friend, Paxton!
Some of the new things Cameron is doing these days:
- Car rides are not so traumatizing. He either looks at his toys for the car ride or goes to sleep now with very little crying. This is so nice and it also made for a much better drive to and from Spokane.
- Loves chewing on his fists and sucking on his fingers
- Cooing and squealing more when interacting with others especially when he is being read to or sung to
- Following voices and objects very well
- More and more smiles each day!
